- 200 gm long beans, cut into 2 cm length
- 2-3 tamarind peels
- 1 tsp salt, adjust to taste
- 2 tsp sugar, adjust to taste
- 3 cups water
(A) BLEND:
- 5 shallots
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp dried anchovies, soak in water for 5 minutes
- 5 pieces dried chillies, soak in hot water for 5 minutes
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp shrimp paste, dry toast on medium heat until dry and light
DIRECTIONS:
1. Blend ingredients (A) until smooth.
2. Add 3 cups of water, blended ingredients and tamarind peels into a pot. Bring to a boil.
3. Add salt and sugar. Season to taste.
4. Lastly, add long beans and let cook until tender.
